Special Stations in Bay St. Louis

Nestled under centuries old live oak trees that adorn the grounds of Christ Episcopal Church, are beautiful images of the Passion of Christ. Friday afternoons during Lent, faithful followers of Jesus walk the outdoor circuit of the fourteen stations of the cross to pray and reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice for our sins.

Priest in Charge Rev. J. Lee Winter reminds us that when thinking about Lenten practices, instead of giving up something for Lent, “take on a project that involves our time, talents, giving, and study. I don’t believe God wants repentance, that’s just feeling guilty. The word actually has the meaning of “turning around” and heading—read that as an action verb—in a different direction.” Christ Episcopal Church, located at 912 S Beach Blvd., Bay St. Louis, welcomes you to pray with us under the loving arms of our live oak trees, each Friday during Lent at 12:05 pm, weather permitting.

“We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.” “Because by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.” Amen
